About The Stay-at-Home Store

Buying guides for staying at home comfortably and safely through a power cut.

How we make money: The Stay-at-Home Store is run by the team behind The Home Prep Kit. We recommend features to look for, not specific competitor products, and we label links to our own kit.

How we write guides

• We explain features and safety marks rather than pushing brands.
• We check claims (like battery capacity) against basic physics and UK rules.
• We never recommend anything unsafe indoors, such as camping stoves or candles near children.

Independent of government

We are a private publisher and not connected to any government body.
